On March 25, 2025, we had the pleasure of participating in an important and timely discussion hosted by the Ministry of Culture of Panama – Creative Economy, focused on Artificial Intelligence and Copyright. This session was held as part of the annual Expos organized by the Panama Chamber of Commerce, a flagship event that brings together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to shape the future of Panama’s economy.
As AI continues to rapidly reshape industries—especially in the realms of content creation, design, and innovation—it also challenges our legal and ethical frameworks. This event brought together voices from the creative sector, legal experts, and technology leaders to explore how Panama can navigate these evolving issues while protecting both creators and consumers.
At VisnAI, we believe in the responsible and strategic use of AI. This includes not only respecting copyright law and intellectual property rights but also ensuring that sensitive and company data remains protected when adopting AI-powered tools.
🔐 Why data protection matters more than ever
When companies use AI—whether for automation, analytics, or creative generation—they’re often exposing internal documents, client data, or proprietary knowledge to external systems. If these systems aren’t properly secured or if users don’t follow best practices, the risk of data leakage, misuse, or even legal non-compliance grows significantly.
That’s why AI adoption must go hand in hand with robust data governance policies. Organizations should evaluate:
Where and how their data is being processed,
Whether the AI tools they use meet regional compliance standards,
And how to train staff to use these tools responsibly.
Participating in this dialogue reinforces our commitment to ethical, safe, and human-centered AI. We thank the Ministry of Culture and the Panama Chamber of Commerce for opening the floor to these crucial conversations and look forward to contributing to Panama’s growing ecosystem of creative and technological innovation.
